braided tank top

I'm really not sure why I decide to make this. I think I was bored or something. Anyway, one night I decided to make a tank top out of a purple stretch knit that I had in my stash. Fabric:
1 yard Purple stretch knit

This was probably one of the easiest things I have ever made. The body of the tank is 2 pieces, a front and a back. I wanted something wide and breezy, so I cut it large and gathered it at the top. The band/straps are 3 pieces of the material braided together and hand sewn to the base of the tank. I left the bottom unhemmed, although I may make it into a bubble tank, I'm not sure. And that's really about it. It's so simple to make and only took me about 2 hours, and that was with eating dinner in the middle of it!
